Atlanta

Metro Atlanta Task Force For The Homeless
Event: You are invited to participate in the 25th Annual Homeless Memorial Day and Requiem on Friday, November 1, 2013. Homeless Memorial Day began in 1988 when 17 homeless people froze to death on the streets of Atlanta. It is a day not only to remember those homeless people who have died on the streets of our city – alone, unrecognized, unacknowledged – but also to recommit ourselves to ending homelessness and hunger in our city, our state, and in our nation. The event opens National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Month.
